Mozaic Bistro - Clayton
Mosaic Bistro is an intimate establishment located on Central Avenue in Clayton. The Bistro is yet another link in the chain of local restaurateur/chef, Claus Schmitz and his family of Mosaic fusion restaurants.
The concept was to create a casual modern space that is part market/coffee shop, part bistro/bar, and a sanctuary for the “foodie”; a place to grab a meal and a drink, or perhaps a set of knifes and a new cook book. The features of the design include both intimate and expansive areas.
The more intimate settings include a casual seating area for reading and enjoying a meal or coffee and a large community dining table for groups or the social individual. In the large, open space, a low sleek banquette seating area opposes the main bar, both positioned to frame a view to the open kitchen at the rear of the space.
